Advanced Search Options in Log Viewers

This topic describes the fields available in the Advanced Search feature of Log Viewer.

Advanced Search helps you find the log messages that exactly match the search criteria . To use these options, select Advanced Search option in the Log Viewer window. The following search options appear as drop-down lists:

• Application - The Application name where the Web service has been implemented.
  
• Add Filter - Various filtering criteria are displayed in this list. You can add more than one filter and as you keep adding them, they are displayed in the same section. To remove any of the filter criterion, click next to the intended filter. You can set one of the following attributes to each filter criterion:

  Type	Parameters	Example
  Strings	Is - contains the exact log message Contains - contains at least one or more of the words of the message you specify	Timestamp
  Integers	<, >, =	Hop Count
